One of the main streets here in the centre of Lancaster is called 'Cheapside' :)

Sorry I'm lste catching up - really strong set of takes on the themes - all striking images. I love the composition and angles of the through the window shot!

Great catch-up images Tim, I particularly like your "through a window" shot.

Week 14 - Shadow

Bursting out of the shadows under a bridge, deep in a cutting on the Watercress Line we have LSWR T3 #563

Shot with a 5D3 and 70-300 F/4-5.6L with a high enough shutter speed to freeze motion.
This shot has both dark and light to emphasise the depth of the Shadows

What I should say is that your shadow shot is a wonderful expression of the delicate interplay between light and shadow. The conceit of the darkness concealing the raw power of the thunderous monster before allowing it to reveal itself in a fantastical display of raw emotion. At once both static and yet, somehow, never more alive and full of movement.

What I’d probably say is:

“That’s really f*****g nice, that”

Thanks Kell. I think my reaction would be your second comment too ;)

Two great shots Tim. The train shot is excellent and that is an excellent portrait of Chloe.

Week 24 - Street

I didn't get to shoot as much as I wanted at Pride.
Rather than posting shots of the parade or posed shots, I thought that this would fit the bill.
It does look that I may have been spotted taking the shot (or the eye contact might be accidental).

The image contains an "offensive" word, so do not click through if you may be offended.

Week 13 - Texture

The texture of the door shows quite heavy weathering.
This could also have been shoe horned into Transport as this was shot at "Steam", which is inside one of the few remaining sheds at the former GWR Swindon Works.

Oh, Jess may also have been in the shot, cosplaying as The Doctor.

Great pictures, the train in Shadows works particularly well.

Some great shots Negan, but your snapper's choice shot really stands out!

Two effective shots. The second is particularly effective.

Great pics! I really like your street pic & the snapper's choice - that would've have worked well for this week of portraits too!

Nice shots Tim, I like the POV. Didn't understand any of this though: The BR Warship is waiting for the off at the Up platform at Alresford, while the station shunter sits in the Cattle dock.

Nice low angle shot Tim.

I fully intend to get something new for Portrait at Fantasy Forest this coming weekend.

The blue loco is a 'Warship', a Class 42 loco for which all of the locos were named after warships. it's waiting in the Up Platform (the London bound platform, hence 'Up').
The green loco is a Class 08 shunter. It's in the Cattle Dock - A platform specifically for the unloading of livestock, as opposed to the Goods Yard / Shed that used to be at the other end of the station at Alresford.

Hope that helps :)

Thanks for the clarification Tim, makes a lot more sense to me now (being a train noob and all :D)

I don't know Springtrap either, but I really like the image.

Weeks 14, 17, 12 for me. It's nice to see you popping up now and again  even with your bizarre numbering system.

Springtrap has gone right over my head Tim, but that's a fab shot nevertheless!

I understood the trains but Springtrap is a complete mystery to me, a universe that I don’t inhabit. Good colours though
I guess you have to been in that space ;)

Er yeah, I'm nowhere near up to date and just trying to maybe get somewhere close to finished by the end of the year.
I did manage the first 2 or 3 on time though

It is niche I guess. But more fun than shooting and posting the more well known characters (you'd all get bored if I just posted Harley Quinn, or Spiderman etc.)

Week 16 - After The Rain

It rained on and off while I was at Whitby Abbey.
Whilst this shot doesn't contain any obvious puddles, the rain had recently stopped, with the rain bearing clouds providing an ominous look to the ruins, especially in mono.
It just needs a bat
