Funny problem this.
If I create a new layer on top of my work, I'm having trouble using a mask.
I'm on CS6.
I select the layer that I want to mask.
I then create a mask. Usual white mask appears.
Set colours to Black foreground, white background.
Select the brush.
Then the problems start.
When I use a black brush to remove some of the layer nothing happens.
Removal only happens when I select a white brush, which is normally used to reverse a brush stroke.
I can get a black brush to work if I invert the mask to a black one. then the black brush will remove unwanted material.
But whether I have the mask as white or black I cannot reverse any brush stroke.
So in normal mode I have a white layer mask, I have to use a white brush to remove, but nothing will allow me to reverse anything. Once it's done, it's done.
I presume I've tweaked some setting somewhere, but I've no idea where. Can anyone help?
