I'm planning on laying a new lawn in the spring and would like to install a pop up lawn irrigation system. l'm looking for a decent system but don't have bottomless pockets if you know what l mean. l have good water pressure so hopefully won't need a pumped system. Do any of you guys have one that you could recommend?

I would ask why you feel the need to irrigate your lawn?

A drought will leave the lawn looking brown of course but most grass species are very resilient and will quickly become green again and grow when it eventually rains...

TBH, if the proposed lawn site needs irrigation (in the UK), it's not a suitable site for a lawn. As Tim says, grasses are pretty resilient so will bounce back from drying out.

The best thing for A lawn is to use one of those companies who do 4 treatments a year. Plus, in the odd week when we do have hot weather, give a good watering off a sprinkler.

Unless you are planning to host football matches I don’t think you need said system.
