Why is it when ever you are having a really good sleep on your day off the post man always comes at 8am.

However this time it was worth it. He delivered my new lens, and boy what a lens it is

Sigma 24-70 EX DG Macro f/2.8

It totally dwarfs all my other kit and make my 400D look like a toy camera.

just need to wait on my battery grip arriving to even out the balance a bit.

Off to a wedding tomorrow so will take it there for some shots.

I managed to pick up a nice Hoyo UV filter on the bay for £2.50 so it protects the glass nicely

Looks like a very nice new toy enjoy

You're going to love it!!

I did all the candids at my cousin's wedding last summer using mine - a truly excellent bit of kit, and a joy to use.

Enjoy!

Great lens. Feels like a beast and super sharp. Loving mine after the two or three weeks I have owned it.

well I am going to my cousins wedding today, and I have it strapped to my 400d, and boy does it look mean.

Will hopefully post up a picture of my achivements when I get home

Hoya UV at 82mm for £2.50! I'm outraged! I paid 30 notes for my protection filter for this lens!

you'll have great fun with this...i like mine alot!

I was firing off a few test shots last night to see how it looked and I was a bit miffed at the quality.

All the shots looked very dark, at ISO 800 in my living room, with the windows open and a celing light.

Then i figured out why, because I have the appature set to 4.5 which was the minimum on my canon lens.

changed it to 2.8 and all is sorted

I was looking forward to this wedding today, but its been raining this morning, just hope it holds out so I can get some shots to see what the new lens looks like.
