I use a HiLite, with 4 lights. 2 in the back and 1-2 on the subjects. When editing full length portraits to clean up the train and any subjects spilling out of the Hilite (large groups etc) I do this in Photoshop, and then finish off in Lightroom.

Does anyone do the complete edit in Lightroom?

The reason I ask, is that I have Photoshop for Windows and want to move to a Mac, and so the only software I would be able to use is Ligthroom. I've tried a trial of Elements, but this doesn't include the history brush.

Any advice?

thanks

I do the floor, and any stray bits of the white background in Lightroom, with the exposure adjustment brush.

not intentionally trying to hijack the thread but I have a similar issue with my 5x7 hilite when I get 7 people try and stand in front of it...... is there a way in the post edit to make it look like the hilite was fully behind them?

Thanks

Yes several ways, but one of the easiest is to get the parts that are not white, either put a lasso tool around them or you could use a quick select tool, then go to edit and from the drop down menu choose fill, when the little box pops up, go to where it says use, and from the little drop down menu, choose white, and click on it, that then will fill your lasso tool/quick selection areas with white to match the rest of the background, then click on control and D and that will deselect the lines, you may find that you have very fine lines left around what has now turned white, you can go over that with a small spot healing brush, or use the clone tool, cloning from what is already white. Job done :D
