Yes
I received my lasolite yesterday but due to work commitments was not able to unwrap it until about an hour ago. (more to follow)

Firstly, Amazon sent the wrong one (to my mums address which I had given as I was working) then they called her to explain this and that the driver would return to pick up the wrong one.

Later in the afternoon mine arrived but the driver said he couldn't take the "wrong" one away so it is still at my mums.

I contacted Amazon be email about this who said they would refund the delivery charge. £7.99.

Now. After opening mine I found the blue case to be very dirty.
(pics attached)
I have sent Amazon another email explaining all of the above.

Is there anything else I should / could do?

Thanks

Colin

Is the lastolite all ok? Thats just the bag covered in what looks like rust stains.

I got a 6x7 with white vinyl train for £288 from 1st cameras who forward the order to lastolite.

Mine arrived in a cardboard box without any marks on the case.

If your not happy send it back and order elsewhere.

The lastolite is OK.
I am ****ed off that first they sent the wrong one now this.

I suppose it might wipe off.

If the lastolite is ok - give them the choice of negotiating a discount on this one, or collecting and issuing a replacement...

I think the title of this thread ought to be Amazon - Not Happy.
Just sayin', like.

Maybe you're right but the point I was making was the condition it arrived in. I totally understand the issue is with Amazon.

Update

Amazon refunded the delivery charge of £7.99.
They then said that they would send a replacement (lastolite and bag) at no extra charge and that I would need to arrange with a courier to have the dirty one picked up.

I told them just to forget it as it was going to be too much hassle at this time of year.

They then said that because I was going to keep the original one that they would refund a further £26 into my account.

Happy with that.

Happy days Colin now forget about all the amazon crap, set the lastolite up, get shooting and show us some of your work

Just finishing decorating the spare room (it'll be finished tomorrow) then I can set it up.

Wait until you have to put it back down again...

Best watch the youtube videos...

It looks so easy

It looks easy but wait until you put in into practice. I'm embarrassed to say I did a session at a clients home once and for no love nor money could I fold the bloody thing away. After about twenty minutes of the family watching my struggle the women who had booked me said " I can do that, it's like our pop up tent" .. She got up and folded it on her own. I was amazed and ever so embarrassed. So my advice to you is practice. Don't just watch a video then think its easy.

It is actually very very easy... but only when you know how...

I borrowed one this weekend - I'd put one down before but it was a few months ago. I was getting stuck this time. iPhone and YouTube to the rescue - a quick search, short video and had it down in a few mins. :)

I'm planning on getting my own, maybe won't order from Amazon...

I ordered mine from Amazon with no issues what so ever, it may have been luck of the draw that the OP had a dirty one.

Thanks. Will need to check delivery costs. May be easier to wait til they come into stock in a local store but I would like to get one soon.
