I'm considering one of the black/white double sided collapsible bg's to try and free up some space in my room/studio. The other option is paper rolls, but i'd prefer not to have more stands dotted around.

I know these backdrops are supposed to be highly crease resistant etc, but I'm wondering how much so...

Obviously this would not matter to much on the black side, however its the white side I'm thinking of. If I wanted to light it to appear Grey, that's going to show up creases and fold lines due to shadows right?

I was wondering if anyone who had one these type of bg's could 'shed some light on this' - excuse the pun :coat:

Thanks in advance,

Rob.

Just realised this may not be the best section for this thread, although it is equipment based - If a mod feels it best suited in the lighting section please feel free to move it :)

Hi Rob I have one of these and although it works very well for hi-key shots lighting wise,, you do get to see some creasing,, I must admit I have never ironed it though,,, I have just bought the hi-lite and it great ,, if you can stretch to one of these,,,that it would be a good investment,,, haha though at the moment I still have to try to collaspe it lol.

Thanks for your info Redhead :) I had a feeling it might be a little creasy which rules it out for what I need it for 100%
The Hi-lite would be good, however I don't dig Hi-key stuff, I want something I can light nice and Grey, using snoots, reflectors and stuff to create different effects on the BG

Paper rolls it will have to be I guess :)
