I bought a Lumen8 F200 kit back in January, and I love it. It replaced a faulty interfit Venus kit (which was, all things considered, pretty pants). The only drawback, which I was aware of when I bought it, is that the heads will have to be returned to Lastolite for a new flash tube. Not an issue now, but in the future they will , of course, need to be replaced. Does anyone have any idea of the cost of this?

I had an answer from Lastolite today (finally) and have been told that the cost would be in the ball park of £100 plus VAT, for anyone who might have been wondering.

Do you have a clumsy assistant or do you throw your lights around?

If not, don't worry about it too much. If they're using good quality flash tubes you'll probably get around 100,000 flashes before the tube discolours to the point where it should be replaced, so unless you physically damage them you should be OK

Don't work with an assistant, and I generally avoid launching my kit around...but you never know

Cheers for the input Garry. It was one thing I overlooked when searching round for a replacement for the crapInterfit Venus heads (was looking in a hurry). But 100,000 flashes is a hell of a lot for someone like me and the use the heads will get!
