What is the largest capacity external (USB Dock) HDD that my Win 10 laptop will be able to use?

Is there a limit ? I would think the largest you can afford, 1 or 2TB

I know there used to be, I don't know about now ... I've seen up to around 10TB for sale.

I just renewed 8 drives and I got 5TB each… plenty for me!

If it is a single disk you are after in a USB enclosure the biggest disk I've seen recently is 8TB ... fit one of those is a USB 3 enclosure and you'll be good to go. Win 10 (64 bit ver) will be able to use all of that without issue.

biggest you can get is supported
limited by NTFS file system to 16 Exabytes.

2.2Gb limit on boot drives unless formated as GPT (if you bios allows boot from GPT).

what he said.
just remember all eggs in one basket = lots of eggs to pop
