What is the largest shoulder bag available (not backpack)?
I see Karl Taylor with a huge bag but cannot see what it is.

Lowepro Magnums are pretty big.

Not big enough by the looks of things, want something to take D3S with 70-200 attached, D3 with 14-24 attached and room for a 24-70, SB800 etc.

It would probably take all of the kit individually but doesn't look like it would take the 2 cameras with lenses fitted.

I had a LowePro Classified 250AW arrive in the post today and so far I've managed to put a gripped 7D with a 300mm F4 in it on one side and a gripped 5DMKII with a 70-300mm L on the other with room in the middle for a couple more lenses and a flash.

It's also got space for a laptop (not sure how big yet) and the outer pockets are perfect for carrying filters etc. :)

If I get a chance later, I'll take a couple of pics to show you.
Hope that helps a bit,
Cheers,
Si

That sounds interesting, would love to see some pics if you get the opportunity

As promised, here's some pictures of the LowePro Classified 250AW fully loaded! :)

Here's a list of what was in it:
Canon 5DMKII (plus grip) + EF24-105mm F4L IS USM
Canon 7D (plus grip) + EF300mm F4L IS USM
EF70-300mm F4-5.6 L IS USM
580EXII
430EXII
2x Yong Nuo RF602 + trigger
Ipad
Black Rapid Sling
Cable Release
Lee filters + holder

There was room for one more small lens too! :D

The laptop slot will accommodate a 15.6in screen but not a 17in one!
Hope that helps,
Si

Impressive! Thank you very much for taking the time to do that, it was most helpful

Crumpler new Delhi 620 holds
Gripped 500D with 70-200 2.5IS hood reversed
1dmk4 with 24-70 hood reversed
and between them I fit 580EX2 in its pouch
canon 10-22 no hood
and a 50mm 1.5 below it along with an RF 602 and 3 receivers.

The body with the 70-200 sits slightly higher so the internal compartment doesnt zip closed but the huge flap goes over the top and protects everything anyway. I never zip the internal compartment up anyway.

You're welcome!

It was useful for me too... As I said, I only got the bag this afternoon and trying to figure out where I was going to put everything was like a Krypton Factor challenge! :D

Billingham every time. More expensive than others, but they are so beautifully made and last a life time. I'd be careful about how big & heavy a bag you choose though. Ergonomically, you might do yourself an injury if walking far with one. For hiking trips, I'd opt for a backpack style.

I've just ordered a Tamrac Super Pro 14 (Model 614) which is the largest bag Tamrac make and it's harder to find than rocking horse droppings. I've ordered the Super Pro 14 as I prefer shoulder bags and I want to take either my laptop or netbook in it as well and can be carried on a trolley too. It's not cheap but it should take all my gear and have a bit of spare room for future acquisitions.

I've got a pair of Tamrac bags already, one is an Ultra Pro 13 (Model 5613) which I've outgrown and the other is a backpack type and is an Expedition 9x (Model 5589) which is big enough for all my gear.

I have a 5D2 and 7D both gripped and usually have my 70-200 2.8 IS L and 100-400 IS L attached, a Sigma 150-500 OS, a 24-105 IS L, a 100 2.8 L macro and a 50 1.8 as well as 2 speedlites and a ring flash, 1.4x converter and tube set and all the bits like batteries, cards, filters etc. I get all that in the backpack and I could about squeeze everything apart from the Sigma lens in the shoulder bag.

Depending just how big you want to go, but the wife says I've got to get rid of the Ultra Pro 13 when the new one comes as we've nowhere to store it so if it's suitable keep an eye on the classifieds. My new one is in UK customs at the moment so maybe up to a week. I'd list it now but I haven't got a box big enough for it to go in.

Thumbs up for the classified series. Very well though out and quality item. I run with AW200 and I carry my A850 with 70/200 attached, F58 flash gun. Spare lens Giottos blower and tons of other kit.

Ive got a Crumpler December Quarter that'd eat that task, but I've only ever used it once, because it weighed a ton.
