No
have no idea how to send my 170cm parcel weighting about 20kilos .
was refused by inPO parcelforce

parcel2go - don't know if I can trust them as I see loads of bad reports.

any suggestions fellow tp'ers ?

thanks,
D.

went for the parcelforce . just hope they won't bitch about couple of extra cm's on top of the 150cm limit.

Bit late with my advice here but do have a look at parcel2go.com next time, they act as an agent and you pay a lot less than you would going direct. Usually HDNL comes out cheapest.

PS never had any bother with them, but wonder why Parcelforce are nicknamed Parcelfarce :D

Risky, if they do bitch it can cost you or the recipient dearly.

Used city link in the past with no problems.

guy in goods at my old work used to say 'if you want it to get there at all, or if it does, then in one piece, then never use citylink'...

they haven't earnt their more derogatory name for nothing!

Parcel2go are a complete joke and are not to be trusted.

They are nothing but a bunch of incompetent and lying cheats - and that's putting it mildly

And as for any saving you might make by using them instead of going direct to another supplier is negligible IMHO

A personal experience rant methinks:D

It does not warrant tarring them all with the same brush in such a strong manner:shrug:

Tarring who all with the same brush?

I am talking about Parcel2go as a company and no one else.

I also stand by what I say

So am I Kieth:D but just because you claim to have had a bad experience with them does not mean the whole of the company are, in you words [nothing but a bunch of incompetent and lying cheats] :shake:

i regularly use interparcel, and have used parcelmonkey with no problems what so ever also!

interparcel especially, they failed to turn up for a booked collection once and they refunded my money and arranged it on a faster service for the next day! really cant complain at that!

well , the same as everywhere 50/50 reviews on parcel2go . but I actually really don't like them being just a middle man. that means if something is lost that's at least twice the paperwork and from what I've heard - they aren't bothered to do it in the first place. the idea probably was good - to offer cheaper service but the customer service pays for that .

anywho - parcelforce guy came this morning to collect the item and I asked him - is it all good, the item - he said , yes . all depends on tmrw if the buyer will receive it .

I'll be very happy then.

yep . nice tactics . have your parcel as a hostage and pay more, because the collector guy can't be bothered to tell you the truth if it's oversized .

yes, I know I was just trying to be slippery cheeky monkey but 42 pounds for delivery ? FFS !!!! I won't sell anything in near future . the prices are just ridiculous.

I Take it you got caught out then on the size:D

sorry, my bad ! it was the money I needed to pay to customs etc for a parcel from usa . although the note RM left for us didn't say that . so there is still a hope :D

Have also used parcel2go many times without issue.

I avoid citylink at all costs mainly due to the poor peformance of my local franchise.

I think most branches of Staples have an in-store DHL counter but not sure on size restrictions.

I don't claim to, I did have a bad experience with them

And as I said I strand by what I say, I have talked to 10 different people at parcel2go and so far and each of them has contradicted the other and all have lied.

and I am still out of pocket chasing them for a refund on a service they did not provide and for an unauthorised charge

So yes as far as I am concerned they are nothing but a bunch of incompetent and lying cheats

I've used parcel2go with no issues, but then I didn't actually to have any dealings with them other than the online interface!

The post office look two parcels for parcel force recently (that were over 1.50m) for me they arrived safe and sound. They were more concerned with the girth limit than the overall length!

sad to hear that. and that's the problem - I've never heard positive feedback when the item is gone missing or similar problems.

good to hear about the 150cm . girth was all right for me.

parcel2ship as well as parcel to go

have had no issues with either

............happy ending at last...............:D

You sends your parcel and takes your chance:D, for all valuable parcels I always use RMSD but it does not matter who is the carrier there will always be failings at all of them, it all depends on the staff at each depot, for instance CityLink in my area are very good I know the delivery man and he is a very conscientious worker but human nature being what it is some do not give a s***
