Hi All,

Anyone got, or tried the Z3200? I'm in the market for a large printer and wondered what people thought of them. I know the z3100 had problems with reds, but it sounds like they've fixed it in the new printer.

Also, is it worth getting the advanced profiling system? It is quite expensive.

Thanks.

Hi - I'm from California, have had the new Z3200 for a while now. Much improved over the 3100: paper handling of rough edge sheets is much better (good for fine art), you can control use of the platen rollers and pizza wheels, creating paper profiles is streamlined, networking seems better, the printer is faster, and highly saturated reds, some purples/magentas are much better.

It's a good machine - hard to beat image quality and ease of use. FYI, I teach and other stuff for HP - was just as Photokina.

You can order print samples from HP online.

Try the machine as-is if you are using it for photography, etc. - and get the APS if you feel you need to do things like profile editing for pre-press proofing and such.

Cheers,

David

HI

I was an epson man for years, bought a 7500 24inch five years ago when they were £10000. Recently needed a smaller printer to do A3+ and to be mobile. In the end went for an HP Pr B9180 cost £400. I bought it because they did a money back guarentee if you were not happy. From the first print the quality of HP has blown me away. I would have no hesitation in looking at one of the big HPs when we need to
