Everywhere I am looking its almost £40.00 for a box of portra![]()

That's pretty much the best price you'll find from all the usual retailers, unless you come across somebody shipping out outdated stock or someone on ebay clearing their old stock.
Still, look on the positive side, at least at £4 a shot it does make you slow down and take your time before pressing the shutter![]()
There is someone selling 10 sheet boxes of Velvia 50 at the moment for £20 delivered. A couple of weeks ago he had eighty or so left, I'm not sure what it'll be down to now. The film is expired by three years, but been frozen since and I've had no problems with it thus far.
Let me know if you're interested and I'll PM contact details![]()
Yes unfortunately those prices are about standard now. Ilford HP5+ is a lovely film though. Well worth it.
Adox CHS 25 (which is not the easiest of B&W films to shoot in harsh conditions) can be had from AGPhotographic for £30 ish for 50 sheets.
Thats the guy on ebay isn't it? He is doing them for £15.00 now actually if the price changed.
Its slide film though, I don't want slide film sadly.
