Large Aluminium Cases

Hi,

I'm looking for a large aluminium case to put some of my kit in, couple of bodies and 4-5 lenses ranging from 17-40 to 100-400 as I'm going to be living in two places! Can anyone recommend either a good supplier or product?

Sorry, can't help re aluminium, but have you considered Peli-cases? (just thought I'd mention it)

Maplin sell them, but you'd have to get 2 or 3 for all that gear.

Thanks for the suggestions, basically it's to store it under my bed in during the week so it's safe, although I need some of it for work. Currently it's in its own cupboard in a combination of peli and soft cases and a couple of camera bags, just wanted to try and organise it a bit better to make moving it easier!

Good shout on the maple ones, I shall look into it!

Forget aluminium and go for a pelicase of some description! they are customizable to suit whatever kit you want to put in them and are as near as makes no difference bombproof, wouldnt go back to an aluminium case after using a pelicase for a while now, yeah they are expensive but worth every penny I reckon.

amunition box under your bed chained to it and a tracker in one of the cameras in case it goes walkies ...

the maplin ones are cheap enough and quite sturdy

i'm sure mine was cheaper when i bought it but you can get a reasonable amount of stuff in them i think mines got about 7 lenses and a teleconverter the largest 2 are 70 - 200 f2.8 and a 300mm f4 prime, smallest being a 40mm pancake

i intend buying another for everything else but the lenses

I have peli cases, need one case bigger then the peli cases I have. Just need to store kit in, not transport it so gone with 2 of the large maplin cases (thanks for everyone's pointed on those btw).
