Laptops again!

deffo got to look at 11 ish inch .. anyone using an 11 inch laptop
Think you really need to go try one of these at this size Tony, a lot of them are seriously restricted by screen resolution, 1280x800 is a very serious compromise IMHO and some are even lower

The Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 11 is fairly decent at 1366 x 768 b ut you tend to suffer with low end processors on smaller laptops with 1.3Mhz being the norm, to spec them up to anything decent you need to be spending silly money

Not really Gary. I've just paid £350 for a well spec'd Dell M101z(K325) and there are more available from the same source I think.

As I said to Tony, I'll be playing with it over the weekend and post some thoughts up early next week.

I completely agree that 1366 is the way to go btw.

To be honest Mark the Inspirons are just plastic shells and as Tony knows only too well something like that wouldnt stand a fall or being trampled on, you really need something with a Mag Alloy casing and the only ones are Mackook unibodies, Dell Latitudes (not the newer ones) HP toughbooks and some Lenove machines

My Latitude blew off the hoardings twice last Sunday during heavy winds and onto a Tarmac track rounf Bradfords RL ground and survived without even a scratch, i doubt theres many more which would survive that

I can understad wanting armour. If you do, then an 11 incher probably isn't the route to go down unless it's a Tosh or HP toughbook (as you mentioned). :)
