Hi all..

I've been seraching for a peli-case to carry my macbook 17 and camera(s) but finding it tough to find one? So after alternatives?

Do you carry your laptop with dslrs? If so what do you have? I wouldn't mind someting durable, more of a case than a bag if that makes sense.. Ideally be able to carry it "onboard" with me too..

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Ed :)

I think with the pelicase you'd have to cut the foam yourself.

I use an FStop Bard, but that would probably be too small for a 17" laptop, but it's bigger brother, the Maverick may be a better bet.

Lowepro do these kind of bags if i remember.

Lowepro Fastpack range carries cameras and laptop and is OK for carry-on size. Rucsac style though not a 'case'.

Quite happy with mine.

I don;t think they do one big enough for a 17" one though.

I really rate my ThinkTank Urban Disguise 50, but I don't think that the larger versions are big enough for a 17" screen either. I have a Lowe Pro Stealth AW650 which might be, but it's too big for carry on.

I wasn't going to mention it, because I don't think it's exactly what you're looking for, but I'm selling a Lowepro Compudaysack which fits a 17" laptop and a reasonable amount of kit. It's a lot cheaper than a Peli Case although I accept maybe not as hardwearing.

I have just put a 17 x 11 x 1.5 photo frame into my Lowepro Vertex 300 AW and closed the zip.

I wouldn't mind cutting the foam but just want a pelicase that will be versatile if that makes sense? I want to be able to easily take my laptop out with ease. The current tamrac bag I have is a bit tricky but am pleased the macbookpro fits. Just want something durable too..

Thank you for all your suggestions, it's helping me!

I carry a 17" laptop in my Lowepro Fastpack 350, loads of room & pretty comfy
