Pretty confident this has been asked a trillion times but a quick search couldn't find anything relevant to me.

A few wedding clients have asked me to provide a slideshow of images from their wedding day (nothing more than a dozen or so) for the nighttime guests when they arrive.

My ancient laptop isn't up to any form of editing. I'm after a new one but don't want to spend a fortune on a high-spec one when it's going to get used maybe 6-7 times max p/year. Could I get away with something like this?

Not very high spec at all but all it needs to do is perform a few tweaks in Lightroom and run a slideshow on a projector.

Thanks in advance.

Bought 6 laptops so far from the outlet - not had a single problem with any of them. Just make you sure you by "certified refurbished" and not "scratch and dent".

I would personally buy from the dell outlet site.

You will get a much better deal and spec for your money.

Nice one - I'd never even considered looking there but it does seem like the better option. Cheers!

+1 for Dell Outlet. Bought loads of machines from there and they've all been uniformly excellent - typically if you look around you can get stuff at around half price..
