Landed myself a cushy job !!

Christ on a bike, he gets a job cleaning cars for a guy with that much money he probably couldn't give a monkeys about swirl marks and all he gets is abuse because he used a sponge :rules:

99% of millionaires aren't as anal about cars as people on the internet

I know a guy that had a 355, his kids leaned their bikes against it when it was parked on the drive, he didn't care.

My question is did you provide the equipment or did you use what was provided.

Oh and if you want to polish it I recommend Mothers wax, as it contains no abrasives

plus you;ll end up with less to polish as it;ll take off any extranious bodywork additions, like wing mirrors, ariels and spoilers :)

Nahhh baboons are better at that:lol:

 @ christ on a bike !!

On a serious note here fellas, The bloke has provided me with a new bucket and sponge, and a bottle of wash n wax and told me to keep his cars clean.

Without wanting to sound like I'm blowing smoke up my own ass, I was a valeter for 6 or 7 years before my kids came along. Been out of the game for about 3 years now, but its like riding a bike int it.

I wont use a dirty sponge, and I know how to wash a car properly. I just dont get this "detailing" . A quick wash, leather and skim of wax and its as good as new.

I dont mind receiving advise, but when its rammed down ones throat, so to speak .....

Mebbe I should have made it clearer in my earlier posts, they were made toungue in cheek ! ;)

Peace !!

BB

Apologies, I for some reason thought you had just left school and hadn't washed a car before, didnt realise ex valater.

So I will just shutup :D

Gary.

He wants shooting!! How could you ever do that too a 355!!

It is my dream car

What you have to realise is millionaires aren't necessarily lovers of exotic cars, they just have them because they're expensive, do you think these footballers on 100k a week care about them

The guy with this 355 hated driving it, he just liked the way it looked,it was impossible to get into when you're 55, hard to park , he paid 20k over book to jump the waiting list, it came from somewhere in birmingham on a trailer to his house, 1st day he drove it he stopped at a garage to fill it up and some guy said nice car, why is there water all over the floor, one of the clips that holds the water hose on had come off, another 5 miles and it would have seized on it's 1st day on the road.

he lifted the engine cover and had a look inside, there was a kevlar shield covering a driveshaft, problem was there should have been 2 , he phoned the dealer who said oh yes we borrowed one, i'll put one in the post, put one in the post  for 20k over book i'd expect a helicopter there within the hour :D

Back to the start of this thread ..... (I've only just caught up with it :))

BB - I'm really pleased to hear about your job - it's great to hear somebody getting good news and having something go right for them.

I hope it lasts as long as you want it to - your boss sounds like a decent bloke. :)

Btw - I don't want to give anyone a heart attack - but I thought cars got washed in the rain. :D:D:D

Ok, I'm definitely at the macdonalds-end of the car appreciation society.

No need to apologise Gary !

Ferraris are still rubbish though !! :woot: I'd buy a Vanquish with that sort of money !!

All very well have all these posh cars like the Ferrari but they are nothing against my car The Burgundy Stunner! She's a stunning Rover 45, midnight red colour! Kept in showroom condition and she's mine!!!

Glad to hear things are looking up for you though BB.

The job is great, but its only 15 hrs.

Its perfect for me because I can fit it in around my kids, but I couldn't live off it.

Thats my wifes responsibility. :D
