LAN Video Streaming via RSS?

I have been using myTunesRSS to stream my iTunes library to my PSP via RSS..

What I would like to do is create a live video feed which is broadcast only on my lan which would allow me to view the video feed via RSS on the PSP.. so it could be a webcam, cctv, DVB input etc which is streamed.

Does anyone know any software to create local video streams? Most of the searches i've done only take me to online streaming solutions.. I think I can stream videos in iTunes but then I can't get live video into iTunes which is my main aim.

Any suggestions?

I had a look at them.. it does seem a perfect solution but unfortunately yes it has to be RSS. At the moment i'm not going to hack the firmware so ideally I would like to use technology built into the PSP and RSS feed seems to be the best way.

I could stream video files from my PC easy I think.. it's the "Live video input" that is complicated..

Really I just want to choose any video input source and stream to RSS I think.
 
Slapo.. I might still give VLC a go.. perhaps I can stream and view directly in the browser instead of the RSS feeds.
