Hi all.

I was picking up materials for work in my loacl builders merchants yesterday and they were selling of some laminate flooring packs as the packaging was damaged @ £2 a pack I thought it worth buying a couple of packs never know if I will use em but at that money who cares.

Could some one tell me what is the rule of thumb as to how much I would need for the type of photos you see all the time eg: background skirting board kid sat on floor or stool. The general pop up home studio type of thing.
Not sure if people use the packs just one plank width wide.

Thanks
Gaz

thats really going to be determined by the angle of view of the lens you are thinking of using , but id suspect that 4ft square isnt going to be sufficient for most uses (top tip you can get laminate free on freecycle as once 'one step' has been taken up its difficult to relay - however trimming the edge with a stanley can easily btransform it into tongue and grove which you can glue down)

Hi Pete thanks for the reply.

Yes I get the angle of view thing as I laid this flooring out ! The packs contain 2 meter square each so there was quit enough I think. Then again I picked another pack up yesterday. As £6 all in for 6m squared is to good to miss even if I never use the stuff.
