fine by me also :)

@Andysnap , would it be ok to update the OP with the key info regarding the hostel? Either that or send out a PM containing it all?

I shall be sending everyone a pm, probably tomorrow, with all the details.(y)

Fine with that, and second adding info into the front post, it was hard to find some of it!

For any of the LF shooters going, I have a box of Astia 100F I don't really want any more. It expired 11/2013, but was frozen since purchase so will be absolutely fine. While we're there, does anyone want to purchase it? If so I'll bring it along :)

EDIT: Sorry, typo'd on the date, it's 2013, not 2014. As said though, frozen since purchase so will be fine.

Swap you a pack of expired FP100C?

Swap you a pack of in date FP100C ;0)

How many sheets are in it and how much do you want for it? (obviously we'll take it to classifieds if it goes ahead)

Cheers
Steve

Not so interested in the FP100C I'm afraid. Thanks for the offers though. It's a sealed box of 20 sheets.

I'm looking for £25, or either a box of in date or recently expired velvia 50 / provia 100F + suitable cash difference (me to you).

And yes, we'd of course go through classifieds.

EDIT: apologies, typo'd on the date. 2013, not 2014. £5 remove from asking price :)

@Woodsy

Astia isnt a slide film is it? If it isnt I'll take it off your hands.

Sorry Andy, it's E6 :0)

Fancy branching into humongous slides and going halves?

Had a feeling it was. I think I'll pass, never have managed a decent shot on slide film.

Wuss ;0)

I'll take it @Woodsy if you're ok bringing it along. Don't suppose you've got any other spare empty 4x5 boxes I could put exposed shots in have you? I think Steve is bringing along one empty for me to keep my B&W in but I don't fancy processing Astia with Rodinal ;0)

So then LF shooters!

A long old while ago, maybe around 5 years or so, none other than mr @robhooley167 found some sheet film in the dark room at Manchester University. He gave this film to me out of the kindness of his heart. Awwwwwww.

In my search for spare empty film boxes to take to the lakes, I have just found this box of film and I think we should all be able to enjoy this find!

The film is none other than Ilford HP4. No, not FP4, and no, not HP5. It was not a typo. This is HP4; discontinued in 1989 and this box has a totally unknown history. I think we should all give it a few frames and see what we get from it :D I have taken a single sheet out to waste and have a look at, leaving about 20-25 left in the box. The one I've had a look at has some marks on the rear side, but otherwise looks ok! We can divvy it up on the first night :)

Sounds like a fun idea. Lets have a little competition to see who can get the best or worst out of it.

I could go a couple of sheets if you want to split it

I'll have the RB67 and can't think of a sensible method of fitting sheets into it...

I'm not bringing my LF gear :(

Can someone trim a few sheets to 120 size and spool them for me in a dark bag? I'll bring tape, scissors, backing paper and bandages :)

Not sure how much film to take. 6 rolls of b&w (half 400, half 100/125), couple of Vista 400, couple of Sensia, Reala, and some well expired and probably cooked Ektachrome 200...

I'm guessing I'll be the "small sensor camera" guy feeling a bit inadequate in the corner. Maybe I should take the Autocord, and a bit of TriX... ooh, just noticed some 120 Portra 400!

Bring the Autocord along Chris and get some medium format on the go. I'm bringing my Yashica 635 with me along with a couple of rolls of film (1 Portra 400 and 1 Provia 100). I'm also bringing along my TLF filter holder kit so it would be good to get your thoughts on it.

@stevelmx5 hi Steve did you manage to find all the bits for your 35mm adapted for the 635? Do you want me to bring my kit along so you've got something to copy from?

I'm taking just the Rolleiflex and the MPP and all my film.... :D

I'm bringing at least 10 cameras, 3 tripods and all the film in my film fridge.

I reckon we'll see you coming Nick :0)

Thanks for reminding me about the 635 adaptor. If you can bring it with you I'd appreciate it. I made my own adaptor for the rewind knob out of a pen lid which worked ok when shooting but slipped when trying to rewind the film so I had to take it out in a dark bag instead.

Is anybody bringing a digital camera :exit:

I'm considering bringing mine for some night sky stuff on Saturday, being as the weather looks clear Saturday night(can't believe I just said that, fingers definitely crossed) and there are 2 visible ISS passes that night, although we'll be in the pub for the good one

I was thinking the same thing, be good to do some night sky stuff.

f*** it, I might leave the film stuff at home and just stick to digi, it's much lighter and sooo much easier.

I cba with the digital kit besides I don't really have the room. My phone is fine for snap shots though I expect a little out of its depth for night sky stuff.

No digi for me, that's for holiday snaps not proper photography.... :naughty:

@RaglanSurf

Nick, will you be bringing your Nagaoka? I'd like to compare its weight and size to the MPP, I'm still interested in it as I think it would be light enough to pop in a rucksack and take up some hills.

I will indeed Andy, despite all the digital talk this is primarily a film trip for me and a chance to use the Nagaoka properly (hopefully). I still might bring the Hassy as well ;)

I feel bad now suggesting I'll bring digital along, please don't make me stand in the corner away from everyone else ;0)

I don't much chance to shoot landscapes anymore so I'm getting a bit carried away with the amount of kit I think I'm going to use!
