So will I.

I'll bring some too and so will my wife.

The CMS has made it quite clear, in her usual sweet way, that any beer you require will be provided by yourselves... Drunken sots.

Whoah whoah whoah! I thought this was an All Inclusive resort so we'd be issued with wristbands on arrival? I'm getting in touch with my Travel Agent about this ;0)

I'm sorry but we are not ABTA certified and so do not need to follow their outdated rules.....:p

I can't get my camera bag to fit in the overhead locker!

Subtle, very subtle, if you look very carefully you can see it's been photoshopped, but only just.

ARRRRGGHH, I forgot about that again. Could have got some fantastic shots up Schiehallion last weekend!

I've still not scanned my XA shots from the lakes in April....

Any thoughts on what we'll be doing? I need to think about what gear I'm taking (non camera stuff, I'll be taking my RB regardless).

Who fancies some sunrise shots from the Hawes End pier looking out over Derwent Water? Looks like a 5-10 minute walk from the lodge in time for a 7:30 sunrise :0)

Trouble is with that is that there are some quite big hills behind us which block out the Sun for a while in the morning so it might be a bit later. The trick is to skip up Catbells just before dawn, some cracking shots from up there I suspect and only 1480 feet, doddle.

A bit of walking, maybe get up a bit higher for the fitter amongst us. Probably some warmer, wet weather gear and boots would be a good idea.

Can you give me a piggy back Andy seeing as you're a seasoned professional at hill walking? I'm from Liverpool where the highest peak is the top of Walton prison ;0)

Like Andy Says, according to TPE geodetics, it'll be after 8 before the sun clears the fells on the other side of the lake.

I've got some unfinished business with Haystacks after being blown off the hill in April when a fairly heavy weather front arrived a day early. Not sure how photographic it is mind.

Ive been planning some locations. Ill sumarise them a little later. Quite a few sunrise, midday and sunset locations of varying distances. Ive been using tpe and os maps of the area. All just options, but they're places id really like to visit.

Do you mind if I just bring some film holders, I'll quickly stick one in before you pack your camera away ;)

I bloody hate Haystacks. We did Fleetwith Pike last year and then Haystacks, the climb down was so hard. Me poor old knees were completely wrecked.

So, I've been meaning to ask.

What's going to be the general plan for the trip? Is everyone keen for landscapes or are we thinking of forming smaller groups and meeting back up at the end of the day(s)? I personally can't walk a huge distance each day as I suffer from ITBS in my left knee, so the locations I've been planning don't involve lots of walking.

Here we are at the top of Fleetwith Pike, my mate Nick was finishing his last Wainwright. This got into Trail Magazine.

Girl......

I was thinking of 15 mile walks around the Fairfield Horseshoe.... or a gentle walk along the banks of a lake...
