Hi we have booked a motorhome for middle October mainly to do landscape photography and would like some help with places to go in Lake district please
Gary
Some of the roads I would send you on are a little on the small size, what size is the Motorhome ?
Tarn hows is a place to go although check out the Drunken Duck Pub great food plus thats probably as far as you can get with a motorhome. Rydal, Elterwater
I know it may be a bit commercial but you will get some great shots over Conniston Water and I found the Pencil Museum to be particularly interesting (but maybe that is just me being a bit of a geek???)
Have a good holiday
Ulswater is stunning, a favourite of mine is waswater especially first thing in a morning, ashness bridge south of Keswick is a stunner too but you may struggle getting over it with even a small motorhome.
If you're up at Ullswater I'd recommend Aira Force Waterfall down the south end of the lake...got some cracking shots there last autumn![]()

Wastwater is a must, arguably Britains most beautiful place

If I remember correctly if you use the official car park for this it costs a fortune. Last time I was up that way, many years ago, you could access it from a footpath opposite a layby and avoid the extortionate parking charges.
Are you only open to places which are accessible to your motorhome?
How about a bit of hill walking?
Any particular types of landscapes you're hoping to get?
Hill walking is OK but not mountaineering not as young as i used to be
not after any type landscape other then usual early morning mist on one of the lakes and if lucky enough to catch a nice skyand some nice reflections in the lakes, waterfalls would be good also maybe after more then I thought??
I found the Pencil Museum to be particularly interesting...
Maybe i'm just tight
