Thank you Dave. I wish I could send you some Jelly Babies. I had to buy a packet to get the photo and now they are sitting looking at me and I mustnt eat them.
 
3 good intepretations, love the teddy bear:) Feeling a little bit sorry for the jelly babies, but not enought that i wouldn't like to eat them!:thumbs:
 
HA ha - by your own admission Sue that isn't perhaps the most technically accomplished photograph, but it certainly fits the brief and it made me chuckle. Well done.
 
Heh - I see what you mean about the warped minds :lol: I always bite the heads off my jelly babies first! It's always nice to see a few decapitations amongst the chopped fruit/veg and trees :lol:

Really like this, I sympathise with you regards shooting indoors - I just can't get my head round it. Bravo for resisting the urge to bite their heads off.

Thanks I know I have to find ways to improve my inddor shots- maybe buy myself a nifty fifty and find a light that would help.

Hi Sue. Great Poem for week 2 especially as it was self penned and a fitting image to go with it. the bear certainly looks well cuddled :)

Nice idea for week 3 and know precisely the problems you face shooting indoors with poor light. No sympathy from me for those jelly babies though and now I'm hankering for a few.
 
Nice idea, the expressions on the black and green jelly babies are very suitable!
 
Week 2 Couple of nice shots of a well loved teddy, second crop is better. Light is always going to be a little harsh head on with the pop up flash. Would love to see it lit by nautal light from the side, a tripod would really help.

Week 3 :D jelly babies should always have their heads removed one way or another. :thumbs:

Yes I didnt notice the expressions until afterwards. Otherwise I would have tried to pick some with good expressions. Thanks for your comment

Thank you for the comments. The second picture was taken under a normal standard lamp.

Hehehe - made me laugh. :D I can't stand jelly babies (where's the 'ducks to avoid half bricks' smilie when you need it!) so I think this is a brilliant idea. I hope you've disposed of the remains in the only way possible, Sue. :)

Shooting indoors is a bit of a pain without proper kit. I usually try to set up near a window and use a tripod to give more control over the exposure. A couple of reflectors (the high tech version - white card/kitchen foil) can make quite a difference too. You'll find ways and means of lighting table top stuff - and with your creativity, I look forward to photographic treats in the coming weeks. :thumbs:

I wonder - one of these days I will get some lighting stuff. I might try to make some cheap stuff myself.

I had to bin them. I had this secondary idea of putting red sauce on them as blood. It didnt come out well and I didnt fancy eating them after that. :lol:

Thanks Jean. It was a very dull week with not much natural light getting in the house. I will try some other stuff though.
 
Good idea and certainly fits the theme! When I was very small I used to feel like a murderer when I ate j/b's!
 
Love the frozen village pond in your curved....well spotted and taken and a good start - a minor tweak for me would be a slight straighten a degree or two anti clockwise

Love your poem and teddy :) I think the first for me by virtue of the wicker back gound which suits the teddy nicely :)

Chopped is a great concept and worth a reshoot when you're able to tinker with the lights :) Great idea and composition though :)

Hi Sue, I thought I'd make a start by having a browse through all these 365's and 52's (speaking as someone who completed his own '365 last year) and I like to think you're getting off on a great start.
Indeed, it's good to think that not only it'll provide an interesting challenge for you, but it's a good way to improve on your photography. I wish you all the best on this one and hope you keep it up! :)
 
I really enjoyed this challenge though I felt a bit uneasy about taking photos of strangers. I wanted to do this though. So this is my chosen pic for the week, though it wasnt my first choice. I didnt post that because it was of 2 pretty young ladies and I wasnt sure of their ages.Sorry fellas you would have liked that one.:)

These people were strangers just passing me in the street but I asked if I could take their photo.They looked great full length but the man was holding a big orange Sainsburys bag which stood out too much so I had to crop.




I also took some market photos which I liked but I will post them in the general photography forum.

C and C much appreciated.

Some people like one and some the other. Thats probably why I found it so hard to choose

What a lovely couple! Good for you for approaching them.

Orange bags etc are a complete PITA. B/W comes to the rescue but it is a shame to have to lose the colours.

It is a pity there is another face so close behind the man, but you don't have much control in these situations. Another time you could use a smaller aperture to throw the background out of focus.

The black and white conversion works well to get rid of the orange bag, it might be me is it leaning slightly to the right?

Mmmm. I have been debating whether I could get rid of them in PP. It would have been easier to adjust the aperture as you say but I had to get the picture quickly as these were just strangers passine by.
