Lady Sue's 52 ART AND RELAXATION Page 16

Sue, I have to agree with the others... they look intimidating, and they are staring so it fits the theme, but it's a bit blurred, from it being a rushed shot... I think Sarah's suggsetion is the way to go.

Love the pelican shots  gorgeous blue sea!!!

You were very brave to get that Stare shot !! ...but I really like it......the softness of focus almost helps the atmosphere. Really well caught!

Peace

I took loads of pictures of koalas when I visited a wildlife park this week and took several of this sleeping juvenile, who looks to me as if he is sucking his thumb.Comments and criticism appreciated.

Thanks for looking

Sue

Awwww Sue - that's just gorgeous.
Absolutely one of the cutest things I've ever seen

Given that you have no PP at your disposal either, I think it's brilliant for something straight out of camera.
Not much more I can say . . . certainly nothing I'd want to change about this one.

This is what happened when both pelicans tried to fit on the single pole.

:lol::lol::lol:

Stare: I hoe you had a long, long lens - they look very scary! Well done for getting the shot.

Peace: Awwww - you couldn't get more peaceful than that. Excellent take on the theme, Sue and I wouldn't have realised it was straight out camera unless you had said.:clap::clap:

Cracking Koala, are they ever awake? :)

Aw Sue that's so sweet :) can't get much more peaceful than that!

Thank you Sonia

Thanks Darren

Now That is peaceful! :D

Thanks Charlie. He is nearly as cute as your reds

Thank you Sarah. I will have lots of PP to do when I get home as I must have taken about 3000 photos.

Thanks Jean

Very nice shot, captures this weeks theme very well.

Allan

Thank you Allan. It is one of many Koala pics I have taken on this holiday

Cracking Koala, are they ever awake? :)

Thank you Steve. They sleep most of the time as they get very little energy from the eucalyptus leaves they eat.

Have to say Sue that considering the lack of PP, this is a fine shot.

It made me smile when I saw it and at the same time jealous that you're out there while I'm stuck behind a desk back here... :(

Anyway, the composition is spot on, and the only thing I'd look at PP is a bit of sharpening. It looks a little soft, but that's just as likely to be my eyes, or my screen as it is to be your shot.

Ian.

Dont be jealous. I am on my way home tomorrow as long as we dont get any more dust cloud troubles.I have had a super holiday and its been good to see my family here but its cost me nearly all my savings. I will have to start saving up for my next trip out here as soon as I get back.

Glad you've had a good holiday Sue. That's a lovely shot of a koala you have, and it looks very peaceful.

Quad....Meerkats are always fun to see and you have 4 great shots of them.

Single.... The single post works very well with the lovely blues of the sky and ocean.

Stare....I don't think the slightly soft look is a problem as it shows how quickly you wanted to shoot and shoot off.

Peace....another big aaaaaawwwww!!!!! I can almost hear him snoring.

great shot for stare.. they do look scary guys, brave you snapped them :)

the koala is adorable.. perfect for the theme, it looks very peaceful indeed.. glad you enjoyed your trip

 That koala is so cute! I have spent hours in Tidbinbilla (ACT) with my rellies looking for koalas. :'( I do miss Australia sometimes.

I've only just found your thread and have been having a look  - some excellent shots - I particularly like the chick-tych and the meerkats quad

I drove past Lindfield pond only last weekend - was strange seeing your photo of it back in January covered in ice!

Indulgence

This pavlova was on the desserts buffet at a restaurant I visited on holiday.

Close

I got better pictures of alpacas at a wildlife park I visited but this one stood out as being close.

That Alpaca shot is something special. Love it.

I agree too. bloomin' super shot. :D

I love the Alpaca shot, what a great face. Looks like he's just about to plant a big kiss on your camera.

They were really friendly but I think he just wanted my food.

That Alpaca shot is something special. Love it.

Thank you Charlie

Agree with tthe above the Alpaca is fun.

Thanks. It appealed to my sense of humour.

I agree too. bloomin' super shot. :D

Thanks. I actually nearly used another shot cause I thought people would say it is a bit soft. It definitely said "close " to me though.

Sorry I missed this reply. Thanks for your comments. The koalas were in the 3 wildlife places I visited in WA.I love to visit Australia as my family are there but I hate the flights.

Wow... 4 contrasting shots there to look at.

The pavlova doesn't doo much for me I'm afraid. It's a tad dark, and I'm not sure where I should be looking for a subject. Maybe it's because I'm not a fan of pavlova.

Shoot isn't that special either. It's just some people... It's on theme though! :)

And the reason those shots don't do much for me, is because I'm comparing them to that stunning Alpaca shot which is just inspired with the wide angle and close focus. The subject of shoot is also lovely and sharp and very well composed.

The Alpaca though, needs printing out and putting on the wall.

Very nice indeed.

Ian.

Thanks for the comments Ian. I wasnt impressed with my shoot picture either. I hadnt seen anything good I could take for that theme and I hated not having anything so when I saw the people looking at the pelican that I was photographing I thought it would do as my shoot shot.

I'm glad you like the alpaca shot. I expect I will get it printed cause its a funny memory of my holiday.

Great close shot Sue, winner out of the two of your shots.

The sort of image you would see on a funny birthday card.

Really nicely done, made me smile!

Another delicious Indulgence shot that does nothing to help shrink my waist line.

Lovely close up shot for Close with great sharpe focus and the rest slowly melting away.

Great target for shoot, the blues in the backgroud are stunning agaist the bird and the post.

Close is excellent and bought a smile...

That pavlova sure looks indulgent, but I don't think the conditions have made things easy in any way...

Shoot :D not sure they are gonna get a good shot... but you're shot of the target is very nicely done. A little overexposed on the chest, between the beak, but otherwise

I havent been inspired by the theme this week but thought I might go out and see what looked nice. The fields near the back of my house look very good at the moment and as they are growing ingredients for food and fuel I thought I would settle for a picture of some fields full of ingredients.

I also liked this picture of wheat as far as the eye can see.

Hi Sue, loving the second picture, wish I had a field near the back garden. You have the focus bang on and my eye is drawn right to the front of the photo! Is the first one a tad dark, could be just me, did it rain shortly after you had taken it?.

Had a quick look at your other photos and your doing a pretty good job with your 52, makes me wish I kept up with mine. :(

Thanks Andy. Yes it is dark but I left it like that because I liked the dark green against the yellow of the rape field.

You can always start from this week- there is no rule against it. It's STOP this week.
