I'd like to try Rollei Ortho 25 in 6x6 format in my Yashica TLR, but most of what I've read is people talking about using low contrast developer and various other techniques to get the best out of the film. However I'm not planning to step up to home developing yet (I'm fully aware of how cheap\easy it is but I have my reasons) so I was wondering if a suitably well reputed place like Peak or UKFL would be able to accommodate this? I know I could ask them directly but I'd be interested if anyone had first hand experience of doing this.

i think i've done it (time to come out, i work at peak, but this is a personal account, i'm here for me not to promote peak) How many rolls do you have?

I haven't bought any yet - it came up on Ebay under a search for "Rollei" whilst looking for cameras and after doing some research I decided I'd like to try it. I'm actually sending my first test roll of 120 film from the Yashica to Peak at the end of the week, I emailed asking whether I could get some feedback on if it worked before deciding on print\cd options and had a very helpful and fast reply back from someone called Wayne. So I'll probably wait till I know the camera is good before buying any more film for it :)

wow very cool pleased to meet you.
nice to know.

@thecornflake Palm Labs do a specialist service for Kodak Technical Pan, Adox CHS 20, Rollei Ortho 25 etc where they use ultra dilute rodinal to get normal contrast. They don't list it in their price list anymore, but I asked them about it a few months ago (I have 5 rolls of Technical Pan) and they confined that they still did it for a £2 surcharge on top of normal B&W developing prices (you just need to contact them first to tell them your sending it in).

Ooh, good to know :)

How many PMs about Peak services will it take before you snap?? :D

my suggestion would be to process one, taken in various scenes but unimportant images and get one processed at say, six minutes and take it form there.

@RumpFace maybe Peak could have a presence here ask a Q and A type of discussion. I would like that kind of interaction with a Lab. Don't know if it would be allowed by mods tho, but I think lots of input could be offerered on exactly this kind of question.

I do send all my stuff to Peak and have done for months so personally I am very happy with the service howevre I undstand that maybe the company might not want this kind of exposure excuse the pun.
