The last Grand Tour of the season starts in a week. There is a good line-up on show, with Contador being the only notable absentee.

The Vuelta (like the Giro) is often a better race than the Tour.

Who's going to be following it?

I will be following it as I have done for the last 40 years in print and on tv.

First stage was ummm ...interesting. Fair play to the organisers though as they listened to the teams and riders and neutralised it- whose chose the route though:oops: :$
So look forward to next few weeks with Froome getting his head down:), I have a theory that he is sponsored by Amazon and he has a kindle fastened to his cross bar or maybe between his legs.

Someone should make a movie based on the Astana team of 2015! I'm sure it would be panned as, "too unbelievable" though!

Nibali has obviously not realised that the excuse of, "but everybody else does that" isn't going to cut it any more.

Perhaps its time to get rid of team cars from the race. And just have neutral service and fixed feed stations. DS's would have to find other jobs though.

Brutal stage today. GC wasn't as shaken up as much as I thought it would be though. Will Froome be starting tomorrow?

All over. What a great, great race. Felt really sorry for Damoulin, but that's racing. Roll on Il Giro!
