Only a fool, as you can get 12 for around £12!!!

Are you serious, they are one of the greatest foods in the world, the jam & kreme one with pink icing on top is to die for.

Individual prices range from about £1.50-£2.00. I can buy 6 morrisons chocolate filled choco coated donuts for 99p

Nowhere near in the same league as Krispy Kremes!

I suppose it's the same as a Birds Eye burger and a Burger King one.
Yes, KK's are expensive so they are a rare treat for me.......

The same people who pay £3 for a tea or a coffee!

(Disclaimer, I sometimes do!)
I feel the same about folk who pay ridiculous sums of money for a car.....or silly money on a bottle of wine...or a couple of hundred quid for a little bit of nothing on a big white plate because Heston owns the eatery (but cooks there +/- four times a year)....or massive amounts of photo gear, the majority of which will be used a couple if times before being consigned to a cupboard.

It's horses for courses.
Each to their own, and all that.

All doughnuts are to die for, well 'of' actually :)

Burger King one.
I prefer birdseys to Burger king, come to that, I prefer Mac D's to Burger King..

deep fried dough and a bit of sugar .... ghastly.
Absolutely, they should be banned!
Especially the still warm ones, they are the food of the devil! ....

I love Krispy Kreme doughnuts, @jakeblu you should be hung* for comparing the supermarket rubbish** to Krispy Kreme.

* Well not literally purely in a figure of speech.
** Unless you actually like supermarket 'doughnuts'. I don't think they taste like a doughnut should and don't get why they sprinkle all that sugar on the outside, nor why they taste of a deep fat fryer, but hey if you like them....

My home made burgers are better than all of them :) Absolutely delicious...

Krispy Kreme doughnuts are heavenly. I might buy one a few times a year at the most. As a treat and not as a regular snack. Hence the price isn't an issue.

Why did you put the meat between a donut?

:D
Easier to get it out then when it is inside the doughnut :) You can't beat a Krispy Kreme Doughnut Burger...yum yum yum

I got them about once or twice a month as a treat for my team (y) Can't do that now anymore as I'm working from home now. Damn got to eat a whole box by myself...what a shame

Thats disgusting, spoiling that lovely meat in a sweet dough

To be fair I don't eat donuts, far too many carbs for such as insubstantial piece of food.

Saw ACDC last week at Olympic Park. We parked at Wesfield and arrived early and took a look around. Saw a stand selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts and coffee etc. and thought it rude not to try one....OMG it was bloody lovely! Why have I never tried one before?

I like their shop at Luton airport as well. Good start to the day.

No good day starts in Luton. It might improve rapidly when you leave, but you'll still have been to Luton.
???? That is not very nice.

No, it's not!
My memory of it isn't pleasant, but that may have been influenced by a traumatic train journey book-ending a not-delightful trip to the GM factory.

I know someone who lived there and liked it, so I'll accept her experience!

Oh totally, I don't disagree with that. I just meant they are aimed at the sort of people who are prepared to pay over the odds for something you can almost always get a lot cheaper. And their business plan works! Especially when they sell the lemon meringue ones.... Yum!

It depends if you are or are planning on being quite fat.
A lot of folk I work with seem to like them and they are making good progress :-)

A lot of people I work with eat a salad and they are still fat. Taken into isolation it doesn't mean anything.

Don't worry I'm coming "That way" Weds, I'll help you out....
No need to thank me, its the least I can do

I see this topic comes up on various forums now and again.

Person who has never had it before gets shocked at £2 a doughnut. Then proceed to compare to your supermarket doughnut that you can get 5 for £1.

They may share the name but they are not equal.

Luton is a hole. Worked at IBC and had friends live there.

Oh dear, what have I unleashed?

People of Luton, I'm sorry!

Never tried one but they look sickly.i haven't got a sweet tooth really but I will try them now only in the interest of science and to add an informed opinion on this thread...
