Does anybody know anything more about Kosmophoto film? It says in their blurb that it's

"... a 100-ISO panchromatic black-and-white film, perfect for all 35mm cameras.

The film is an existing emulsion made by a European film producer. It is new stock produced in 2017.

Kosmo Foto Mono can be used on sunny days, overcast conditions or indoors with studio lighting, flash or natural light.

The film is a traditional black-and-white chemistry that can be developed with formulations such as Perceptol, Tetenal and Rodinal."

I can't seem to find out who is producing it or what it's likely to be like.

I'm not sure what the originator of the emulsion is (though there are mentions of it being Ilford), but it's the same as the Zorkiphoto stuff mentioned in this thread - https://www.talkphotography.co.uk/threads/and-another-new-ish-film.657210/#post-7871851

Looks like they might have had to rebrand it due to rights problems with the Zorki name.

Some more info here (including posts from the person selling the film): http://www.apug.org/forum/index.php?threads/zorki-photo-mono.148221/

Thanks Nige, it did have a familiar ring about it.

I'd like to know what it is too. Same goes with the ferrania stuff on another thread on here.

The Ferrania stuff is their own concoction as a test before they start coating their colour trannys.

It's still described as ALPHA...

Thread revival!

I've just got 5 rolls of KosmoFoto Mono from Stephen Dowling who's produced it so my 35RC is looking forward to trying some out :0)

Stephen also runs https://worldonfilm.net/ which is a great selection of articles about all things analogue
