Kood vs Cokin Filters

Hi folks, I was looking into buying a 58mm adapter and Holder as well as some 'P' size ND/ND grad filters later this week, all Cokin make. I'm on a miserably tight budget as so many of us are these days and someone suggested to me that I maybe better trying out Kood filters.

I have never heard of them before and just wondered if anyone has used them and can fill me on their quality or if they would just be a waste of money for me?

I use kood ND's , ND grad's and CPL - no problems at all , no colour fringing / casts etc.

Ah cheers Paul, both for the quick response and the wee bit of peace of mind. I think I'll grab one or two of them along with the adapter/holder and give them a wee try.

Thanks Sean, just read your reviews and definitely seems like the kinda kit that would suit me fine, cheap but alright quality.

The main thing for me was that I didn't notice any noticeable decreases in sharpness. Colour casts can thankfully be sorted out in photoshop
