I'm about to step into the world of DSLRs, and where better to get great advice than a photography forum. So I joined. Plus this one has thee best smileys I've seen on a forum!

Anyways, I'm Melissa, I'm 17 & from Northern Ireland..It's part of the UK for anyone who doesn't know.

I shall be purchasing a DSLR very soon, but haven't quite decided which one yet, can anyone tell me which section of the forum i should post a thread in concerning this?

Also if anyone knows any good photography info sites, I'd love to check them out. I'm really a total newbie so would like to learn the terminology and how different settings affect your pictures etc...

It's not often i meet others from Norn Iron in forums!

As for the Canon recommendation, i don't think i can afford one, only gots around £350 to work with :shrug:
