Best to get them from 7dayshop though, another TPer received some odd-looking stands from the Amazon seller recently that didn't fit any regular attachments such as umbrella adapters
 
7 day shop do it cheaper

I'm a bit tired of the crappyness of mine and am experimenting with other options atm :D

yep - thhe 7days are £12.99 each, without the bag - so marginally cheaper if you want one, dearer for two, but the ones I linked are shipped from the mainland, so they arrive within a couple of days rather than the week or so everything I get from 7day ends up taking. I'd say they're a worthwhile alternative :shrug:

:O no bag and 12.99 naughty 7 day shop, i haven't bought one in a few months so must have changed :O
 
I've got a couple from 7dayshop and they both came with bag but I too am bored with how flimsy they are when I'm balancing SB900's on them in anything more than a slight breeze.
 
They might be, but probably not if you order from ExpressPro. The image clearly shows a different stand to the one I received from them, and nothing in the description stated there was a non-standard fitting on the top, yet they won't accept that the image was misleading or misrepresenting the product, and I'm now out about 20 quid total in shipping costs after having returned the stands.

So now, I'm back to only using Amazon for books again with confirmed ISBN numbers. :)

I ended up ordering some from a seller on eBay.

It's like everything else, there's always a trade off. Lightweight stands, even the likes of the Manfrotto Nano at £45 a go will need sandbags or similar to weigh them down. The alternative is something like a c-stand, but these whilst very stable aren't exactly the sort of thing you'd want to lug about with you all the time...
 
I bought one from 7dayshop last month and it came with a bag that was just big enough to get a FITP reversible brolly in too ;)
 
The Konig branded stands are fine, for holding hotshoe flashes and brollies. A wind will pull them over, but that's the same for most stands. I don't like the quick release on the standards, preferring thumbscrews.

They do seem to have risen sharply in price lately from the original Konig Amazon seller, up to 20 quid each.

Edit - nope, they are back down to 13 quid now, so same a 7dayshop. Weird.

imo, they wobble significantly less than the 3* the price manfrotto nano, they've got sturdier legs and flex less. Drop a sandbag over the leg cross beam, or clip your camera bag to the bottom of it with a climbing carabiner.

If you're a student, register for a calumet student card (£free) and you can get a calumet branded manfrotto nano (usually £30) for £24 (20% student discount on calumet branded products, which are all almost exclusively rebadged top brand products)
 
I've just been delivered 1x Konig stand from 7 day shop which arrived complete with a bag for £12.99 inc P+P. It's great for £12.99 and would recommend. 7 day shop - I now know why it's called 7 day shop - took at least a week for delivery!!

I also got a Lastolite boom stand from Morris photo for £77 inc. Not impressed with the amount of flex this stand has with just an SB800 on the end of it. It does have clips for reflectors etc, and as a vertical lightstand I think it'd be absolutely fine, but as a boom? I want to put one of FITP's softboxes and the SB800 on the end of this thing. Not convinced it's really up to the job I'm afraid. Also at £77 you'd have thought you would get a bag if Konig can do a lightstand + bag with delivery for 13 quid!
 
Just got my 4x Konig stands from the eBay link listed in my other Amazon-failure thread. The vertical poles are a little more wobbly than I'd anticipated, but certainly not useless, and probably about as good as could be expected for the weight.

I'm a little nervous about trying these outdoors with a 43" brolly attached, even with sandbags on, but I've no real complaints. They'll definitely be used plenty. :)

I've found that they are copies, rather than re-badging, eg their umbrella adapter is nowhere near the quality of the Manfrotto original. Their Calumet products are excellent though, regardless who makes them. I think Manfrotto only make for Manfrotto.
 
I get mine from Amazon and they were with the bags and no problems with the fittings.
