As a newbie to flash photography i didnt want to have a huge outlay to buy gear only to find i didn't like it or wasn't any good - so i decided to buy basic and if i liked it upgrade in the future.

Having bought 2 YN560 flash units and a set of RF602's I needed a flash stand, bracket and brolley.

I stumbled upon this

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Photography...63NS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1295556541&sr=8-1

At only £10.77 a fraction of the price of a manfrotto or something similar i figured it would be cheap tat and not last.

However 24 hours from order it arrived and i must say i am so impressed.

Build quality is superb and the stand opens wide enough to be secure. Its marvellous indoors whilst outdoors would be perfectly fine UNLESS there is wind. It is very lightweight so bare this in mind .. Any kind of wind and you would be in trouble.

Indoors undisturbed though it is a gem and for £10 - who can complain.

I am one VERY happy customer and will most certainly buy more!

Yeh agree, great product - think it's the same model from 7dayshop as well

Bargain!

I got 2 of them from amazon as well, brilliant for the money.:)

I have these - work really well but beware of the wind if using brollies, or passing dogs if using indoors.

The wind meant I broke one brolly, but not the flashgun. The dog broke my 580ex2 - £50 repair!

You can't get the legs really wide and they are a little lightweight (which is a pro for carrying). I've got some velcro exercise weights I add to the bottom to weight them down.

If you look on Ebay you can get lighting bags with a big side pocket for £30, which fit these a treat. I've got 3 stands, brollies and a full car rig in mine, plus associated odd and sods.

i really do love them!

also bought the amazon 2 brollies for £8 .. well impressed with the quality there aswell!

bought a bracket for £14

which means i got 2 kits for £56 and all i need is flash and recivers now

ANY stand will be dodgy outside with essentially a sail attached - sand bags are your friend :) about a tenner posted off ebay.
