Take it this is Inkjet Printing paper? If so I tried some Kodak stuff a few years ago and it was crap, it literally took hours to dry

Yeah inkjet stuff,been using it for a while now,no problems at all Meester Lemon......

Am guessing I maybe had a duff batch or something then, as it was completely useless.

It's not the paper, it's the ink/paper combination, or at least it's the way the ink reacts with the coatings on the paper. My favourite paper of all time Ilford Gallerie works perfectly in my A4 epson R200 but not in the A3 1400, the 1400 uses different inks and they don't dry well, looking patchy on that Ilford paper.
