There was a song called Paradise sung by a girl called Kaci, im trying to find the origional to this song.. all i can find on it is her version!

Now i know im wrong on this but i was sure it was sung by someone called Paula Yates.. not THE Paula Yates, well.. i dont think so, but im really keen to hear it again..

Can anyone help???

Do you know if the version you're after actually made it onto the charts? I ask because I have a copy of the Guinness British hit singles and albums, and there are 9 artists in total who have recorded a song called "Paradise", but Paula Yates isn't on there.

They are: Frank Ifield; The Stranglers; Black; Sade; Birdland; Diana Ross; Ralph Fridge; Kaci; LL Cool J

Sorry I've no more information.

Hmm.. puzzled..

I heard it on a radio show back in the late 80's.. im sure it was Chris Evans when he was a DJ on radio Kent? i could be wrong though..

Thanks for your help..

Tony..

Do you have access to Spotify? You could try searching there? It's usually good at finding tracks, new and original versions.

I should point out that the book I have only lists songs and albums that actually entered the charts, and is not a complete listing of every single artist that may have recorded the song title you're looking for. It may well have been released on a compilation album perhaps.

Thanks guys, but i dont have access to Sportify and its not Styx..

It was a female, she sounded a little like Kaci but its quite old, and its not a dance track.. it'd be classed as pop i guess..

Thanks for the help though..

According to Wikipedia: -

Paradise (Styx song)

The song was originally written and recorded by Dennis DeYoung for his musical The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The song was re-recorded by Styx for inclusion as one of three new studio tracks on the live album. It was released only to radio stations and not commercially, charting at #27 on the US Adult Contemporary chart.
At the same time, the track "On My Way" was also released to radio stations, but it failed to chart.

Thanks CT, im just having a scout about to see if i can download it..
