after a bit of advice really

saturday before christmas my wife did me a 30th birthday party (early) at 10 o clock she took the kids home and at 12pm me and a friend was going to go into to town on the way down a street from the pub we got attacked by 15 lads now I'm not a small lad and held my own till it come too late to the point i couldn't even fight when i went down at some point i have hurt my knee I'm pretty certain i was stomped on but it all happened that fast

anyway been well over a week , my knee did not swell up that i could tell it was painful and could hardly walk on it now I'm more it ache pain and it's ok one min then some times I'm in agony with it finding it hard to sleep

I'm not sure if anyone can advise anything or have any suggestions to what is going on any info or help till i go see doctors on thursday

if i press any where on my knee there is no pain at all so little bit confused to what it is

p.s we are going after the people after new year we know who it was and there not getting away with it as for coppers they will only slap them on the wrist been down this road so many times in the past and on these peoples Facebook pages they had 3 fights that night and all 3 were started by them

eee by gum lad.. this takes me back...... never remember any of it ending well though :)

1) See you doctor or go to A&E to get the knee checked out ... long-term it could cause major issues if left untreated.
2) Forget the vigilante revenge, it rarely if ever turns out well and could prove disastrous ... see the police if you want to do anything.

you right gramps about revenge but police will do back all bud i got attackd around 6 years ago my job was security got jumped by a big lad no reason too jump me but he did it under alcohol police had cctv footage of him punching me , he come worse of outside though

rang the police up the next day so they could take a statement and so i could find out what the process is to claim back loss of earning they said he got a caution and nothing more will be done

i have no faith in police any more

i worked side by side with them around town on friday and saturday nights most of them are just useless

bring back the day of been eared of a copper thou put a foot wrong they would wack you with the baton

Report it to the police. If you know who they are they can be dealt with properly. If any of them are seriously hurt you'll have more than a knee to worry about.

If you're still in security you won't be if you get done for beating these neanderthal meat heads up...

If you meant to exact revenge then non violent and amusing ways would be much better. Gross humiliation would be my weapon of choice. Photoshop and a sheep springs to mind. ;)

when i say revenge we have got a lot of methods we are looking at but were not going to physically hit them were going to make there life miserable

one thing my mate wants to do is the lass that hit his wife/girlfriend which started it off is to get her and shave a line down middle of her head will take over a year to grow back so she would be not want to walk around like that lol but he just joking i hope lol

I'm not in security anymore but know a lot of lads that are so can get a few good lads if ever needed

if they go around starting fights for no good reason I'd imagine their life is pretty miserable and pathetic already...

Forcible shaving might be a bit difficult. Hair removing cream would be better and could probably be done without the victim noticing so much ;)

Now I like that idea ;)

I certainly don't advocate the use of violence, whilst it may make you feel better for a little while it can usually escalate out of hand and have disaterous consequences.

However, as you say, discretely making their lives a misery and f***ing with their heads will probably have a lot more effect and be more satisfying ;)

See a doctor about your knee. Ignoring it, or popping painkillers, might cause more long term damage.

I agree with the other posters and letting the police sort it out, but I suppose it's up to you. I'd stop posting about your intentions though, this is a public forum and you never know who is going to read these threads.

Especially if you play it as a long game and do nothing for a while so they forgot what they started in the first place...

Forget the doctor, go straight to A&E you will get an xray and an immediate answer (y)
I slipped and landed on my knee a while back, I thought the pain was due to an underlying problem,
eventually went to see my doctor who sent me to A&E as he thought I may have cracked a bone
Turns out it was just soft tissue damage, but the great thing was it seems the underlying problem
that I was told I had a few years back, doesn't exist :D

A&E, I had to retire from a previous job due to Osteo arthritis in both knees and a hip after years of ignoring football/rugby injuries as simple knocks, worst case I know but better safe than sorry, as for your other intentions, best not telling us I reckon.

Just go to A&E! They can X ray straight away if necessary, otherwise you need a referral from your doc and more delay.

....if it was my knee I would have gone a blooming sight sooner as the quicker any treatment is done, the more effective it is likely to be and less chance of any permanent damage.

Seriously, go to A & E.

I've now got an injury that will be with me for life because I didn't git it looked at soon enough. Fortunately this is on my left wrist so not crippling. Your knee is more important.

Think it's a bit late for A&E. IIRC if the injury is more than 24 hours old you have to see your GP first.

Go to your doctor asap. I left mine to 'get better on its own' and I am still having problems, enough to have stopped my cycling, 4 years later. Unless you go when you are still in a lot of pain, they just do not take you seriously, even if the non painful after effects are ruining parts of your life.

booked in docs at 4.10 today will update

seriously don't want to go to a&e unless i have to waste of there time

the constant pain/ache has gone now which it does until i land on it wrong then in agony again so fingers crossed it is healing what ever the issue is i hope but still going to check it out to be safe

Alex, As for your revenge let Kharma sort it out, It may take a while but it's bloody good! Go to A+E and let them have a look at your knee it may take a while....... Don't know if they are any good where you are? Because they are useless where I live!

khama will happen

any way

seen doc this afternoon referred me to the physio to let them have a proper look do not want to go to a&e unless essential place winds me up id rather get a appointment and go to it

she had a good feel around the knee and said everything seemd ok but wants a physic to double check she said from the area the pain is coming from under part is sounds more like bruising inside and said my knee did look a little swollen

give me a card with a phone number to ring and they don't answer lol will give it 3 or 4 days for a response from the voicemail if not ill grin and bear a&e

Good luck with that then. I waited 8 weeks for a physio appointment.

just a update from last week rang the physic they spoke to me on the phone last friday i think it was any way they said a text message will be sent with when to call to book a appointment

got it yesterday but they never answered there phones rang this morning said it was going to be 3 weeks i said i was not happy with that and then magically they got me a appointment today at 1.40

hate to complain but sometimes it does work
