Hi everyone, I'm new. It's very nice.

I have a new lens arriving soon (sigma 10-20mm) and I'd like to get set up using filters with it. As I understand, it's probably most sensible to go down the route of using a filter holder and then slide in filters as opposed to buying screw in filters all the time.

So I need a filter holder. Do I need a holder adaptor? I'm confused.

After doing a bit of reading on here I reckon the hitech filters a good quality/price compromise. Do I get the 80mm or the 100mm or the 150mm? Again, I am confused.

I reckon I'll also be getting one of those redsnapper 50 quid tripods.

Thankyou for your patience and sympathy.

You'll need a filter holder, adaptor rings (one to fit the thread size of each lens you'll be using them on) plus your slot in filters.

If you've got a 10-20, I'd go for the Lee filter holder and get the HiTech 100 x 150mm filters to go in it (which are the same size as the Lee ones).

If the Lee holder is a bit pricey, have a look at the Cokin Z-Pro holder which is for the same size filters.
