Kindle Fire TV - coming soon!

I heard someone had xbmc running on it...

Is there anything else to compare it to? Where you get internet TV hardware and content from one supplier?

Apple TV vs Chromecast vs Fire TV. Similar jobs

Chromecast is cheap but has to run from a PC

Apple TV has iTunes behind it, airplay so links to iOS devices, but is ultimately limited (games/app store update coming apparently)

Fire TV is basically an android set top box, so does the usual streaming, games and some other stuff. IF it gets a web browser and it supports bluetooth keyboard then you have a perfect lounge computer platform.

It has HUUGE potential, it depends how Apple respond.

The UK needs to catch up with this all in one down the phone line stuff, i have the TV, internet and phone all in one, i can also use the TV as a web browser but its not great but its all there, i also have the potential to have 100 mbytes download if i wanted.
Oh and this is in France :)

We can do it with smart TVs, but this allows anyone to upgrade to a smart TV.

They all seem different from each other though. I want to watch TV and films via some service without messing with Youtube, browsers, PCs or mobile devices. I presume Amazon has a whole stack of stuff to watch?

Apple TV does netflix, fire TV does netflix and Amazon prime (previously LOVEFiLM)

Thanks. If those 2 can be plugged straight in a TV, with no Apple PC required, then the choice is all down to the cost per film or month or whatever.
