Train were cancelled today due to the snow and buses were laid on instead.

Just really glad I didn't have to reply on them to get to work.

As is happening everwhere at the moment people are venturing out in their cars and getting stuck.

The route home from my stables was no exception. But as is often seen in times of trouble people seem to pull together and help out those in need of a helping hand.

Most of Sheppey is not hugely bad, but the area where my horse is a very rural. The road that leads to the stables had a good four foot of snow build up either side of the road with only half the road passable. At the point where you get to our yard enterance the road was blocked where no cars had travelled down it. Although the yard/farm owner did take out a digger/tractor and bucket to have a go at clearing a bit of it.

Within the yard itself there was a ghood 2/3 foot of snow to waddle through.

Whoo Hoo.......................I have made it into double figures, day 10 yippieee

Well sorry guys but it is a snow shot again.

For us the snow started last Wednesday whilst my sister and I were sorting out the horses.
We are lucky in that there are three of us (myself, my sister and a friend) who keep our horses together at the same yard, meaning if one can not get up there the others will see to that horse.

So due to work times and road conditions Wednesday was the last time my sister was able to get up to see to her pony (don't worry he was not left unchecked). Today the roads had cleared enough for us to be able to drive as close as we could and then walk the last 15 minutes on foot.

Needless to say after 4 days both pony and owner were glad to see each other.

Ok, so the snow is starting to melt. But it is still a little too cold to venture outside today.

I took full advantage of having a pj day today and thought I would try my hand at a little candle photography.

The results are ok seeing as this is my first "candle session", but if nothing else this 365 is getting me to try my hand at new things.

Why does everything cost so much. And why do you always find your self in need of money when you are short of it.

Yet again unexpected bills and payout have shown their faces this month...................................oh to find the secret of winning the lottery.

Sorry for the delay in paosting the last few images. Have been on late shift and have managed to take my images but seemed to have run out of time to post.

Day 13..........................a really long shift, or at least it felt that way. Couldn't wait to get home, put my feet up and have a nice cup of tea.

Occasionally that chance to get my hands on free fruit. We don't do bananas but sometimes a box or two makes it our way..............yummy.

Had a vet appointment today, well not me but my little mutt Molly. Decided that seeing as the graveyard was ony a two minutes walk away and I had my camera I would try to get a shot or two.

Didn't really feel that inspired (the onset of a nasty headache didn't help)...........so I decided to "re-shoot" an image I had done about a year ago with my previous camera.

Part of the reson for the re-shoot is I can't for the life of me find the other file. But from memory it looks better. But to be honest I think this is more down to improved camera and prpcessing skills.
 
AAARRGGGGGG!!!!! I hate working weekends (although we only have to do 1 in 3).
Finally got in at about 10:30 after a 13 hour shift and as usually there was a friendly face to greet me :D

AAARRRGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What to do for today? Want a bit of colour............well need I look no further than my nail varnish tub. Tried to have a bit of a DOF play, not sure if it worked or not, but this is the best of the bunch.

Dog training tonight.....................first of an eight week course. Took three quarters of an hour for my dog to stop hiding under the chair, but she was brave near the end. Finished on a good note and I was surprised how much I learnt in lesson one. Roll on lesson No.2.

So my poor old bag is starting to show the strain of being filled to the brim (just what are us girls like with our bags). Decided to have a bit of a clear out and found some colouring pencil at the bottom that I took in for my weekend at work to aid me with my last tattoo design.

Yes, Yes.......................I know it is a "school" night and I have work tomorrow. But the offer of beer and chinese was too much to resist (blow the diet for just one night).

some great images there.. really like the door and nail varnish, not sure if the one in the foreground would have been better with no white lettering showing on the lid? :)
