Kids wheat/dairy/citrus free dietary advice please

Lots of useful stuff in this thread and lots of mistruths too.

Allergy testing on the nhs is rationed - mainly because if everyone found out you could potentially test for almost anything you'd break the system. Most allergy testing isn't performed in primary care and is usually done through a specialist. RAST testing is what is normally done. Even patch testing is no longer routinely used. As above, testing hair samples is just ridiculous.

Not sure why going through a gastroenterologist at this stage is helpful. I'd recommend going down the route of dermatology in the first instance. They'll be able to identify whether it is an outbreak linked to a true allergy and decide whether further testing is warranted.

Yes historically we weren't designed to eat things like wheat and dairy but through agriculture we have done so. There's a world of difference between say wheat intolerance and coeliacs disease.

If it comes down to food, a dietician will be helpful in pointing out where to get sources of nutrients as well as meal ideas.
