Well i have, and i can tell you i've never experienced pain like it in all my life!!:arghh:
Woke up at 3am last Saturday to utter hell!, even if i moved any part of my body by a mm, i'd have a sharp stabbing/tearing pain in my back which i couldn't even begin to explain.
Phoned the 111 nhs helpline, which made me an appointment at the nearest walk in centre (i'd of laughed if it didn't hurt so much when they asked if i could drive there!!).
Only had to wait two hours!!! YES, a 2 hour wait when i had an appointment! but the doctor was great, said his first guess would be kidney stones, but the bad news is theres not much he can do!
Just carry on taking the painkillers i have (had plenty of co-codamol and morphine left from my last disc bulge) and see my GP on Monday and get them to send me for scans pronto!
He also said if it gets worse go to A+E.
Well, you guessed it...it got worse and worse, so off i went to A+E later that afternoon!
There, after urine/blood tests X-rays and an ECG i was diagnosed with Renal Colic, given more pain killers, told i would receive a letter for an appoinment for a CT scan, and sent home.
Apparently it's more painful than childbirth!! and even an innocent burp results in almost collapse due to the intense pain!!!
Good news is it's eased a bit now, so could be back in work by end of the week, but wondered if anyone else has had them, and if, once you've had them, they can reoccur?
ow ow ow!
