Take this story as truth, this is what happened as i saw it.

We were driving back from Reading to Maidenhead, and passed a field that i always think about taking a photo of one day.
We were only driving slow. I looked into the field and saw something, "hey look! theres a panther" i said to the wife.
I looked again kind of shocked,as i only said it in jest, thinking it was something else, and there it was walking across the field. About a minute passed and my wife asked me if i wanted her to turn back. "No dont worry" i said.
As we approached Maidenhead it suddenly dawned on me what had just happened, "we should have turned back" i said.
Toooo late!!.
The reason im so bloody peeved is all the photographs of sightings so far in Britain are blurred, grainy shots, that dont show much, In my car with me was my camera and 400mm lens which would have been a frame filling shot.
It didnt even occur to me to stop and take a photo or 50, and dont even mention what the pics would have been worth.

Now thats a silly thing to do, you'd be the toast of the town if you'd had a good photo there :bang:
 
I don't think you are supposed to take a clear picture as it's like the Loch Ness Monster shots, you have to leave reasonable doubt for the next bloke :lol:

Ps I do beleive you the Mrs is a Maidenhead girly, and I thought that I have "seen something" in the past off to the left of the A404 heading out, and the old thicket area
But thats some time ago now

I believe you, my husband has seen one years ago while he was working nights on security, he shoen his torch at one, cacked his pants and ran inside.......and then me and my mate were walking home through the lanes one night and a large cat (larger than an alsatian but a cat) ran in front of us, needless to say, I ran faster than Linford Christie that night!!!
 
Anyone for a TP stake out photo shoot?!

I think that, no matter then lens, a shot such as this would always be blurry or obscured somehow so that the conspiracy theorists would have something to debate! I think people do it on purpose!?
 
LOL, if i had managed to get the shot, theres no saying that it would have been in focus anyway:lol:
I might have added some distort/noise/gaussian blur if it had been perfect.
Just out of intrest, after a little research, i found that 4 big cat sightings are reported everyday in Britain. AND one of the people who took a bad photo of one of the cats earned over £100,000 in fees for use of the picture in the first 2 weeks.:bang::bang:

Oh well! i think ill review my New Years resolutions.

I reckon you could buy a big cat for....say 50 grand, let it go and shoot a few shots of it running off and make 50 grand for the privilege ;) :lol:

I wonder if they have any spare at Whipsnade for the TPF MK snapathon, it could chase Cobra while the rest of us get some nice action shots :)
