KFC !!

Reading that it's difficult to understand. Was the person behind this stupid, uneducated, malicious or was it a joke that went too far?

If you read the article it explains they have an automatic system linked to commemorative days. There was no person behind it, it was a failure to double check the system.

I was just typing the same. Poor testing of the system though.

No excuse IMO. And there simply must be a person in there somewhere and at least some lack of brainpower or willingness to deploy it somewhere. Pixies didn't do it.

Somebody set the software up but it was obviously done in a slapdash and unchecked manner. To simply blame the technology is crass!

I agree. That's why I didn't suggest it was.

You guys are funny sometimes.
I was not pointing a finger at you or any TPer but the article, as I read it, blamed the technology!

Nah. When companies blame tech, it was a human. When it's tech they blame an intern.

I could almost see it as ignorant human error had the posted message been about Crystal Night which sounds quite nice if you don't know the history of it (but, as I understand it, things like that are taught in Germany where the message was posted). However, the message I've seen posted reads "Gedenktag an die Reichspogromnacht" which (even to a non German speaker) seems rather less friendly.

Program set by some young IT geek who skipped history? Or, sent from head office in the US by someone who never knew?

There just have been a person to select the commemorative days the system would use surely?

I bought something from KFC once............................. and only once! Thankfully, they provide large bins (which were almost full!). It is rumoured that you can live on it but I wouldn't!

The rats seem to do well on it.
