Just had to phone the local police due to an incident outside our flat, nothing serious just a few kids messing with scaffold lagging, trying to set it alight when a young girl about 14 pulled a rather large knife out (a kitchen jobbie about 6" long) and I tell the officer on the phone who is rather startled by this and asks where can they dissapear to when the police arrive, anywhere I reply so dont come with sirens or they will scarper.......3 mins later a van and 2 police cars completely miss our street with sirens blazing and lights flashing and the kids do one and the police ask me on the phone have they got them.........once I had stopped laughing I say didnt you hear the sirens and she replies was that the police:shrug: anyway they searched the estate and found the girl with the knife and removed it from her and then let the thugs know who rang the police by shouting up to us "WE HAVE THE KNIFE SO ALL SHOULD BE OK " THANKS not .... waits to be fire bombed now lol:thumbs:

Got a call at work one night from my wife saying there had been a bloke at the door with a ski mask on and holding his winky

I said ring 999 ,as I was on with someone else ,he said get home,
It took me 15 mins and when I got there I had a look around ,15 mins later a plod turned up, wasn't a pizza delivery was it, definitely not said Dot, well ,I'll have a look around said he and went.

After another post on here I now know it was probably a Fajitas he was holding ,a hot one :eek::suspect:
 
Similar thing happened in our village when someone called to report they could see someone breaking into a house, they scared the burglar off when they announced they were approaching from a few miles away.

I had another situation yesterday, where I called the Ambulance for an emergency for the a driver in front of mine at a roundabout.
Emergecny could not work out the address, although the spot was oppostie thier ambulance depot and a Police Station. Kept on telling me that road did not exist !
 
I always report crime anonymously to the police otherwise they call and give the game away who made the report.
 
Well we survived the night with all windows staying intact lol
