HI , I managed to pick up a kewmode pt-303 tripod I wasnt paying attention and didnt realise it was missing the quick release block , does anyone know if i can pick one up seperatly or a compatible one ?

I've had a look on ebay but only see plates for other models although some look similar Square shaped and possibly a groove for the side the release mechanism is.

Hope someone can help as its a pretty decent tripod

Couldn't find a like to that model, but it sounds a bit like an 'arcs-swiss' release mechanism, which is fairly common.

Could you post a photo of the tripod head showing where the release mechanism, it should be fairly recognisable if it is (you can also look at other tripod heads with arca-swiss release plates, if they look the same type of mechanism then you can get a generic plate from Amazon or ebay)
 
Post a photo or link to product. There are several kinds of quick-release plate that answer to your description.
 
If there's a calumet near you, I'd take the tripod along as they sell various plates, and may have one that fits.
 
Can't tell much from that - need a product link really.

But it's not Arca-Swiss type, or Manfrotto RC2. Looks kinda square which is unusual and might narrow things down. Measure it too.
 
HI thanks for the replies , i think its a pretty old tripod so no product link :( i found a similar tripod in the sold listings that had a better picture of the mechanism
