TalkSport have just reported that there will be no statement from Newcastle today. That said, I think he's been seriously shafted by the owner. They will never find another manager with so much commitment to the club. And Shearer is NOT stupid enough to go there....

So i reckon what happened was they sacked him....ashley saw the mob on tele...rang KK and said 10 million in your hand to keep this quiet :-)

"Keegan flipped his lid after a transfer was stopped by wise and I hear from a strong source that he walked out but obviously throughout the day Ashley changed his mind and now Wise is gone"

I'm still gutted.

The official word is that Keegan has not been sacked.

The reality is that NUFC are saying that to either cover their backs / reputation (do they have one left), avoid severance pay - or because KK has walked.

Either way there is no way back for Kev now. Not until Ashley goes. Sooner rather than later I hope.

Regardless of your views on KK as manager (my personal opinion is that he was the right man for the job - he knows our club, people and passion), the question remains, why did Ashley employ him just to treat him like sh*t then get rid of him ? And to do it the day AFTER the transfer window makes no sense.

One thing is for sure, the only person to come out of this with any credibility is Keegan.

Wherever he goes, and whatever he does next, he is, and always will be, a legend on Tyneside. If you're familiar with the toon you will understand. If not, turn the news on, and watch the reaction (or look at the photos above) of the 1000's who turned out tonight to make their feelings known. Sky sports news are currently reporting in excess of 23,000 letters (probably all from people like me ).

Either way, it's a sorry state for us toon fans! On a day that should see the news and papers filled with Manchester's latest signings (both blue & red), it's the circus @ NUFC that people are talking about. Typical.

As for the photos above - they are cracking - the fact that anyone could even take a shot there is a credit - I personally would have been helping get that ASHLEY OUT banner draped on to the side of the Strawberry!!!!

Yep, I'm gutted.
