The entries once again are stunning, this is very worthwhile running this regular competition, thanks for entering everyone up to now. Ian.
 
I am astounded 30 pictures already and the quality of entries are amazing!
 
I think a Canon 70-200 F2.8L IS should be the prize now.... :)

i disagree. that photo is seriously underexposed! ;)

I put a lot of effort into setting that shot up, making sure everything was just so.
That has hurt my feelings now :'(

To be honest, with not being around too much these days, I'd forgotten what a high standard of photography was posted on here! There is some fantastic images in that thread already...............

I decided to not go with a deep sky image.. often has a lot of light bits in all that dark ;)...

looks more like a cruising spot on Hampstead Heath (not that i've ever been to one!)

I too would like to point out that I am not speaking from experience--naturally. :D
