Is this brand of film ok? It's not a brand that I've seen mentioned in any threads, I've seen it on fleabay and its part of the Ilford group (apparently)
Anybody used it?

Looks quite nice to me, but then I'm partial to a bit of chunky grain.

Cheers Nick, just had a look at both sites, looks interesting so I'll have to buy some and give it a go.
 
I have just rana role though my Nikon FG at Scarborough.
I will have them scanned and posted up soon.

Initial thoughts are quite good.
 
I've shot a few rolls of both. IMO the 400 is a little too grainy, and unless that's the look you want it's a little intrusive. The 100 is pretty good for the price. You can get it from firstcall photographic pretty cheap, while your at it get some apx it's also good value and you can decide what you prefer

I'm gonna have to revisit kentmere I think, I was wholly unimpressed with it when I first tried it, but I was using a camera I'd avoid given the opportunity. Your shots, Steven, have convinced me its a nicer look to it than I thought.
 
I have to say looking at Steven's images it looks a rather nice film to try:D
 
For the relatively small cost difference, I've always preferred to go for Tri-X/T-Max for an ISO400 film... looking at sample shots, the grain is more attractive with Tri-X.

I agree with @freecom2 though, in 400, I prefer tri-x and it's not much dearer. Worth bearing in mind that Flickr has done horrible things to most of the 400 shots with their resharpening algorithm.
 
It should be of fairly good quality as its made by Ilford as their 'budget' range (they brought Kentmere quite a few years ago) even if in terms of grain etc its a bit lacking you can at least expect good quality control.

they look great to me so I've got to have a go with it now, ordered the 100
