Kenko tc and Sigma

I read somewhere a while back that the Kenko Pro 3000, 1.4TC couldnt be used on the Sigma 120-300 due to AF issues.I believe the Nikon TC`s wont fit properly but can anyone confirm if the Kenko will AF correctly on the lens.

No it won't.

The metering will flip flop between f/2.8 and f/4 and the lens will hunt, jitter and never lock.

Thanks, found a few threads on another forum about it. Put an ad in to see if anyone wants a swap before i go ahead and sell the Kenko.Cheers.

I had major problems with the Kenko 2X converter and my Sigma 300mm f2.8. Ended up selling it and getting a Sigma 1.4X converter istead which works perfectly.

i have a kenko pro 300 with my 120-300mm f/2.8 Sigma, it doesnt hunt between f/2.8 and f/4 as stated above, works ok for me

That would probably be because you are a Canon user
