kenko extention rings and 100mm/400mm

anyone used any kenko extension rings with a canon 100mm 400mm mk ii and if so what where the results ? or is it even possible ?

What body are you using ? Can it support af at f8.0 ?

Centre point should focus at f8 but the others may not

I've used them on my 70-300mm L lens with great results on my Canon 1Ds MkII to photograph hoverflies and other insects from a distance so should be good.

The autofocus did work but I found it better to rock back and forth to get it sharp once it was reasonably in focus.

I also used a tall flash so the shadow of the flash on the lens didn't go onto the subject.
